The word pro-bono means “for the public good” or “for the common good.” At Romero Pineda & Asociados we believe in contributing what we do best in legal matters, for the good of our country and Salvadoran society. That is why, within our Pro-Bono program, we work from the Brand Protection unit, preventing products from counterfeit products that affect the rights of our clients, enter the Salvadoran market, and after a legal process, give them a new life, a new purpose.

We collaborate with customs authorities to protect our clients' brands and seize fake products attempting to enter the Salvadoran market. Adhering to the law, the entire process for their seizure is carried out, and upon receiving a favorable verdict, we request that these products are not disposed of in the usual manner but rather transformed, with the approval of the responsible parties, into donations for philanthropic works.

It is in this way that we contribute to the Volunteer Angels program, an institutional volunteer association of the Dr. José Matías Delgado University, who work with communities to benefit those most in need in our country, and who, upon receiving these donations, are responsible for unlabeling the products and give them a new destination.

'This immense benefit allows us to offer help to many localities that would not be benefited if it were not for the good management of Romero Pineda & Asociados. As a program, these donations allow us to impact more segments of the population, increasing our social responsibility as an educational institution,' shared Carla Núñez, General Coordinator of the Ángeles Voluntarios program.

The history of our contribution through Volunteer Angels goes back many years when one of our partners, together with the School of Young Talents of the Matías Delgado University, carried out several works in different communities, until one Christmas a client decided to finished his Distribution business, and all his merchandise would be spoiled, it was there that he was asked to intercede with Volunteer Angels and benefit a good number of people with those products, in such a special time.

Since that date so many years ago, part of our Pro-Bono work has been focused on the benefit of children and adolescents who are in a vulnerable situation and thus we have managed to obtain, through our hard work, donations of different products with which we bring a smile to everyone's face. each one of them.

“We believe that those companies that collaborate through our program obtain not only an impact on their corporate social responsibility activities, but also an impact on their business culture, as it shows their employees the company's values in action. Mother Teresa of Calcutta said that the product of faith is love, the product of love is service and the product of service is peace. This is why we firmly believe that the service that companies will provide through these donations will be rewarded with peace, love and success,” concluded Carla.

Thanks to the good disposition of many of our clients, and the work of Brand Protection, we keep our pro-bono program active, which we lovingly share with Volunteer Angels. Infinite thanks.
