Upcoming National Holiday in El Salvador on November 2nd, 2020

Dear Clients and Friends:

ROMERO PINEDA & ASOCIADOS reminds you that pursuant to Article 190 of the Labor Code, the 2nd of November of each year is established as paid holiday leave, applicable to the employees of the public and private sectors in order to commemorate the “All Souls’ Day”.

In this regard, employees working in the referred holiday must be paid an extraordinary wage composed of the regular wage plus a surcharge of 100%. Also, if employees work overtime or work a night shift, the calculation for the payment of extra charges will be based on the aforementioned extraordinary wage.
