With the mission of promoting the training and ethical performance of professionals in general, with an emphasis on private practice and generating leaders whose ethical and moral principles can be factors of change in society, an unprecedented social responsibility project is constituted in El Salvador : The Lead Foundation.
The Foundation was created in 2008 to promote Ethics and currently has more than 70 members, among which stand out: law firms, universities, independent lawyers, foundations, companies and associations.
For the members of the Board of Directors, the Foundation represents a serious and genuine effort to face the growing and worrying lack of professional and personal ethics that exists in the country.
“We are alarmed to find professionals looking for the easiest solutions, which are mostly the wrong ones; as well as other equally erroneous methods that have brought our current state to our country, that is why we wanted to develop a project that reminds Salvadorans that ethics is our best reference “.
One of its goals is to provide the legal community with a Code of Ethics for Lawyers, which is a guide and tool for strengthening their professional development.
This foundation was born as part of the corporate social responsibility projects of several organizations and Salvadoran companies and plans to strengthen this initiative in the remaining countries of the Central American region in order to make ethics a fundamental principle in the professional practice of the public sector and private in each of it.
