ROMERO PINEDA & ASOCIADOS reminds you that pursuant to Article 190 of the Labor Code, paid days are established on December 25 and January 1 of each year, which applies both to workers in the public sector and the sector private.
The work centers that work the referred days must pay an extraordinary salary composed of the ordinary salary plus a surcharge of 100% of it. Likewise, if they work overtime or work at night, the calculation for the payment of surcharges will be made based on the aforementioned extraordinary salary.
Only homeworkers and workers whose salaries have been stipulated by commission or piece rate, by adjustment or lump sum, will be excluded from paid leave.
