Edmond is a member of the bar in Canada with over 12 years of
experience practicing Canadian immigration, international trade
and commercial law in contracts between Mexico and Canada.
His in-depth experience with NAFTA contracts, as well as his
knowledge of CAFTA and the pending Canada-El Salvador Trade
Agreement, are particularly valuable to Canadian and Salvadorian
companies. He is also a duly registered Agent & Representative
of HSBC Canada for matters relating to the HSBC Canadian
Investor-Immigrant Program.
Prior to joining Romero Pineda in 2006, Edmond practiced
Canadian immigration, international trade and commercial law in
contracts between Mexico and Canada with the Jauregui, Navarrete
& Nader law firm in Mexico City for 10 years. While in Mexico,
he was also a visiting professor at the University Las Americas
in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico where he taught International Law
(1993-1994).
Between 1972 and 1992, Edmond practiced immigration, corporate
and international trade law, as well as civil and commercial
litigation in Montreal, where he obtained his law degree from
the Université de Montréal in 1971.
He is a member of the Barreau du Québec and of the Canadian Bar Association. He frequently gives presentations throughout Latin
