San Salvador, December 23rd, 2009.
ROMERO PINEDA & ASOCIADOS, with the Policia Nacional Civil of El Salvador, confiscated last December 17, in downtown San Salvador, more than 3,000 garments with a trademark of one of the clients of the firm, which was being used without its authorization.
The attorneys responsible for the case and the raid were, by ROMERO PINEDA & ASOCIADOS, partner Carlos Castillo and associates, Jorge Mendez and Karla Alas.
The aforementioned event will generate a criminal trial, which will initiate in January 2010 and the firm will represent the corporation providing the best advice and, as in previous cases, will focus their effort.
Thus ROMERO PINEDA & ASOCIADOS collaborates, supports and assists the Policia Nacional Civil to search for trademarks and distinctive signs constantly being infringed, and hence decrease the piracy rate in the country.
