Antonio graduated from Georgetown University in 1995 with a degree in Economics. He
obtained his law degree from Dr. Jose Matias Delgado University
in San Salvador in 1997. He is a professor of Economics,
Constitutional Law and Philosophy of Law at Dr.
Jose Matias Delgado University.
Before joining the Firm, Antonio worked as a main advisor for the
Salvadoran Government entity that executed the telecommunication
privatization process in El Salvador. In addition to the process
of organization and sale of the Previously State-owned
Telecommunications Company, he was involved in the formulation
of the legal instruments, which actually rule telecommunication
activities in El Salvador. In addition, Antonio was appointed as
Director of the Consumer Protection Bureau, for a period of two
and a half years. There he acquired first hand experience with
the issues related to anticompetitive and consumer protection
regulation and practice.
His practice focuses in advising the
clients of the Firm on the impact on tax laws, strategies to
achieve tax efficiencies, due diligence in connection with energy
and telecommunications and general corporate Mergers and
Adquisitions; corporate securities;
distribution contract issues, Financing, Distribution contracts; among others. |
